秘話 : The first track of｢HASHIGOTAKA｣

写真はハシゴタカとも私の家族でも無く
沖縄の友達家族とシーサーさん
文化座で写真を使ったワークショップを開催する事になり、見返していたら、この写真と再会。
良い写真だなぁ。と思いブログに載せました。
ワークショップでは、この写真のシャッターを押した1分前を想像して芝居する。といった事をします。
みなさん、この写真から何を想像しますか？この4人の関係性とここにいる目的は？
と想像していきます。演劇って色んな角度から想像出来るので、楽しい‼️

さて、「青春」秘話。秘話でも無いですが…
まず、イチ君がアキちゃんのブログ等から言葉を選び歌をつくりました。
イチ君の作る歌はサビが分かりやすくあるタイプじゃなくて、永遠に歌えるメロディ。
これをみんなで歌うのも良いけど、サビが欲しいよね！
という事になり
その場でアキちゃんにサビの歌詞を考えてもらい、今度は孝文が作曲。
キーを合わせたり、コードを合わせたり、転調さてなければならなかったり…
課題はたくさんあったけれど、さすが！ハシゴタカ音楽担当！
見事その日に叩き台完成！
の後はコードに合わせながら、歌詞の意味を考えながら、歌のメロディを決めていきました。

本番10日前にはみんなで練習。
歌い過ぎて、寝る時にまでメロディが頭から離れませんでした💦

でも！馴染みやすく、ノリやすい、素敵な第一曲目が完成出来たと思います！
早くも、第二作目を作りたくなってる紺です。

Behind the Scenes: The first track of “HASHIGOTAKA”

The photo here isn’t of Hashigotaka or my own family;
it shows a friend’s family from Okinawa and a *Shisa* statue.
We were preparing to hold a workshop using photos at Bunkaza Theatre, and while looking back through my pictures, I rediscovered this one.
I thought, “What a great photo,” so I decided to share it on the blog.
In the workshop, we do exercises like imagining the moment one minute *before* the shutter was clicked and then acting out a scene based on that.
“What do you imagine when looking at this photo? What is the relationship between these four people, and what is their purpose for being there?”
We explore these kinds of ideas. Theater is so much fun because it allows you to use your imagination from so many different angles!

Now, for the behind-the-scenes story of “Seishun” (Youth)—well, it’s not exactly a secret story, but…
First, Ichi-kun selected words from Aki-chan’s blog and other writings to compose a song.
The songs Ichi-kun writes don’t have the typical, easily identifiable chorus; instead, they feature melodies that feel like they could go on forever.
Singing it as-is was nice, but we felt, “We really need a chorus, don’t we?”
So,
we had Aki-chan come up with lyrics for the chorus right then and there, and then Takafumi composed the music for it.
Adjusting the key, matching the chords, figuring out where to modulate…
There were plenty of challenges, but—as expected of Hashigotaka’s music lead—
he managed to complete a rough draft that very day!
After that, we finalized the melody while matching it to the chords and considering the meaning of the lyrics.

We all practiced together ten days before the actual performance.
I sang it so much that the melody wouldn’t leave my head, even when I was trying to sleep! 💦

But! I think we managed to create a wonderful opening track—one that’s catchy and easy to get into!
I’m already itching to start working on a second song.

作家に苦しむアキちゃんは可愛かったし、シメシメ(しめしめ)とも思いました(フフフ)
みんなで作り上げた作品はロスになりますねぇ。
