いつかギラギラする日
何度この映画を観ただろう？
二十歳くらいの頃に上映された深作欣二作品
もと警官の新米ギャングとベテランギャング、ヤクザとのトリプルクロス。
この前もこの映画観て泣いてしまった。
映画の最後に瀕死の状態の新米ギャング(木村一八)に警察が話しかける
「お前をやったのは誰だ？！」
ギャングはそんな警官を突っぱねて
「おいお前、二十歳やそこらでそんな格好してて恥ずかしくないのか？ロックしようぜロック」と遺して生命を使い果たす。
思い返せばこの最後のセリフにいまだに痺れているのかもしれない。
恥ずかしくない人生を過ごしていきたいと二十歳やそこらの僕は本気で思った。
あまりにも退屈な日々だった

しばらくして憧れの地アメリカに旅に出たのだった

Someday it will sparkle
How many times have you seen this movie?
Kinji Fukasaku’s works were screened when he was around 20 years old.
A triple cross between a former cop, a novice gangster, a veteran gangster, and a yakuza.
I cried when I watched this movie the other day.
At the end of the movie, the police talk to a novice gangster (Kimura Kazuya) who is on the verge of death.
“Who did you?!”
The gang pushed the policeman away.
“Hey, aren’t you ashamed to be dressed like that in your twenties? Let’s rock, rock!”
Thinking back, I’m probably still numb to that last line.
When I was around 20 years old, I seriously wanted to live a life without shame.
